The Christ the Teacher School tuition maintains the position of the being the second lowest among the schools in the Diocese of Wilmington.  We have worked diligently to contain costs, while continuing to challenge children to learn and grow in a compassionate and supportive environment that enables them to thrive spiritually, academically, socially, and emotionally.  We have been recognized twice as a (2010 and 2016) National Blue Ribbon School. This places our school in the top ¼ of 1% of schools in the nation.  We can proudly celebrate the gift of offering a quality education within a community of faith while maintaining more than competitive rates for private school education.

Our school provides a quality Catholic education through the efforts of our parish priests, faculty, staff, Home and School Association, volunteers, parish community, and most of all, through the many sacrifices made by the parent(s)/guardian(s) of the children enrolled.

Tuition for the following year is determined in the form of a projected budget agreed on by the Principal, Business Manager and Finance Committee.  The recommended fees are approved by the Advisory Board and the Diocese.

In justice to all parents and the parish community, parents are expected to keep tuition payments up to date.  Both parents are jointly responsible for tuition and other fees charged by the school.  The business manager will review the tuition records on a regular basis.  Student report card will not be released if the tuition account has an outstanding balance.  In addition, the school reserves the right to take further action, up to and including dismissal, if tuition payments are not made in a timely fashion.   If a family leaves after August 15, the July payment is non-refundable. Once school begins, families pay for the full trimester of enrollment no matter what date a transfer occurs.

Some limited tuition assistance is available.  A link to FACTS Financial aid application forms can be obtained by going to the CTT website landing page.  Applications must be submitted by the indicated due date in order to be included in the review process.  Financial need is determined by a third party outside of the school.  As finances permit, an effort is made to provide the level of financial assistance needed to enable children to remain in the school.  More details can be found below.

Financial Assistance (Kindergarten to Grade 8)

(No financial assistance is available for Pre-Kindergarten-ages 3 & 4)

Please wait until your child is accepted to the school prior to completing the FACTS form.  FACTS will accept your form and fee but the diocese and the CTTCS finance committee will not consider your family for assistance until the admissions process is complete. Since the FACTS forms must be completed by March, obtaining assistance in the first year in the school is rare due to the timing of the school application process for new families and the deadline for financial aid.  We regret that we are not able to provide financial assistance for students in the preschool.

For further information about tuition assistance, please go to the Christ the Teacher website botton left corner of the main page.  Look for: “Background Checks and FACTS Tuition Payment & Assistance Program.”
